My Turtles

At this moment I've got 5 Turtles

Namely :

2 Southern Painted, Chrysemys Picta Dorsalis 0.0.2 in possession 03-02-2007 Birth Nov. 2006

3 Western Painted, Chrysemys Picta Belli 1.2.0

The man is in possession since 10-09-2004 Birth June 2004
The thirst lady is in possession since 03-04-2007 Birth probably 2005
And the second lady is in possession since 29-08-2007 Birth probably 2003 ?

I had also the next 3 Turtles but they moved (15-04-2007) to a nice new owner with a great big Pond

1 Cumberland Slider Trachemys scripta troosti 0.1.0 in possession 10-09-2004 Birth June 2004

2 Yellow Belly Trachemys scripta scripta 0.2.0 in possession 04-06-2005 Birth 2004

The Yellow belly's and Cumberland slider is a mix with a Red Ear Slider.

The Western Painted and the Cumberland slider I bought impulsive in a pet shop.
And later on I searched for information how to keep them.
Like 90 % of the people who starts keeping turtles.

My 2 Yellow belly are adopted ones, the last owner wanted to dump them in a ditch.
And I'm looking for a nice place for those 2 lady's, but I'm not in a hurry ;-)

The 2 Southern Painted they come from a breeder in Eindhoven.
That's a drive of 2 hours from The Hague.
And I'm planning to breed whit this species later on, but that's gonna take a wile.

Finally I found a female Western Painted on 3 april 2007.

I saw her swimming in a big indoor pound of a Pet shop.

I asked of she was for sale, but the owner said he would not sell her.
All turtles who lives in the indoor pound where not for sale.

The next day I tried again and explained that I was searching for a Female Western Painted a long time.
He agreed to sell her too me.

But there was a problem we could not find her in the pound.
It's a very big one with a lot of turtles, especially Red Ear Sliders.
So I went home without her.

The Next day i tried again and found her sleeping in the water under a piece of wood.
So I took her and bought her for 35 Euro.

I fixed her Tank and probably over 2 weeks my male Belli will follow her in the new tank.

A nother Chrysemys Picta belli lady is found.

I found her on the interner, she was for sale.
She misses only a piece of her tale and she is very small.
They said she was 4 years old but she is only 9 cm scl, so I doubt if this is true.
